About me

Design philosophy

> Complex problems

I love to work on complex and ambiguous problems, this it what makes design exciting! I speak with customers every week, and utilise customer journey mapping and usage data analysis to ensure changes are widely adopted.

> Collaboration

I strongly believe that great design doesn’t happen in isolation. The team is smarter than any individual, so I always work cross-functionally to reach a consensus when solving difficult problems. Frequently using Design Sprints to reduce discovery times.

> Details in context

I really enjoy crafting the details, but always remain mindful of their context. I’ve created design guidelines and UI libraries to streamline the design process and ensure consistently high standards.

How I work

I’m a UX Design lead with over 12 years of experience in financial services, sustainable manufacturing, and educational tools. I specialise in creating intuitive user interfaces for data-rich applications, balancing the needs of the business and its customers. User testing, surveys, and usage data analysis ensures that my designs are both user-centred and data-driven.

I’m confident managing others and excel in stakeholder management, allowing me to collaborate with peers to solve complex problems. My expertise extend beyond product design, as I’m frequently called upon to map and resolve complex process issues. I’ve established design processes, overseen the creation of design libraries and guidelines, and led company wide Design Sprints. My ability to provide candid and constructive feedback, whether to the CEO or line reports, helps foster a culture of continuous improvement.

My collaborative approach streamlines discovery, minimises rework and consistently raises the bar for product design. By encouraging innovation, I have made significant contributions to achieving business goals and enhancing team dynamics. Whether through honest conversations, process optimisation, or initiatives like a design-related book club, I am committed to exploring new possibilities, and ensure every project I work on reaches its full potential.
